Introduction:
Hurhur plant are found in less quantity. Its flowers are yellow. It is known many names as- Suryavarta, Hulhul and Suryabhakta.
Hurhur (cleome viscosa) Medicinal & Ayurvedic Properties:
- Hurhur is sweet, heavy, salty and cool in nature.
- It prevents loose motions, ends gas and brings phlegm out.
- It eliminates constipation.
Hurhur (cleome viscosa) Uses and Benefits:
1. Inflammation of the lungs: Coating ground leaves of hurhur of yellow flower on the chest is useful to get relief in inflammation of the chest.
2. Weakness: Take 5-10 ml juice of hurhur root twice a day, it ends weakness or laziness caused by fever.
3. Deafness: Mix juice of hurhur leaves of yellow flower with oil. After that, drip it in the ears, it ends deafness.
4. Otorrhoea: Dripping juice of white hurhur leaves in the clean ears is useful to cure otorrhoea. Sometime, it may be the cause of inflammation.
5. Ears worms: Drip hurhur juice in the ears, it kills worms and provides relief from ears pain.
6. Acute swelling of the ears: Tying ground leaves of hurhur of yellow flower on the affected part reduces swelling of the ears.
7. Wound: Grind leaves of hurhur of yellow flower and mix oil in it. After that, apply it on the affected part, it provides relief in pus wound.
8. Inflammation of the stomach: Apply ground leaves of hurhur of yellow flower on the stomach; it reduces inflammation and swelling of the stomach.
9. Nose diseases: Coating ground leaves of hurhur of yellow flower on the nose is useful to get relief in swelling of the nose.
10. Internal swelling of the heart: Coat ground hurhur of yellow flower on upper side of the heart; it provides relief in internal swelling of the heart.
11. Meningitis: Grind hurhur leaves of yellow flower and coat it on the head to cure meningitis.
12. Scrofula swelling: Coating ground leaves of hurhur of yellow flower on the throat provides relief in swelling.
13. Carefully: Grind hurhur leaves to make a paste. After that, coat it on the affected part and remove it after 2 to 3 times, otherwise it can generate pimples of chicken pox.
